This Canon 11-24mm f/4L USM lens is in very good condition, with some minor cosmetic wear on the built-in sunshade and on the focus distance indicator. Glass is in great shape. Focus & zoom rings operate smoothly and autofocus works fine. I bought this lens used from an online lens rental company and only used it sparingly while I waited for my other copy of this lens to be repaired. (I’m keeping my original copy.) I have used this lens regularly for aurora, ice caves, and interiors/architecture. At 11mm, it has an EXTREMELY wide field of view, great for capturing a big aurora display in the sky (even though it’s an f/4 lens and generally needs a higher ISO setting than a f/2.8 lens), and I find the color and image quality it produces to be excellent. It’s great throughout the rest of the zoom range as well. This lens is great for architecture or real estate photography, and it’s also my favorite lens for ice cave photography. Works nice for wide landscape shots, but I usually leave it home when I go hiking up mountains because it is so bulky and heavy.
