I’m not just a tour guide—I’m also a professional adventure photographer. When shooting portraits, my goal is to fuse the people & landscape in a way that appears natural and captures the challenge & fun in exploring Alaska’s wilderness. If you purchase my optional adventure portrait service, you won’t have to worry about carrying your camera gear up a mountain or trusting your phone to capture magical scenery and moments. I will improvise with the landscape, weather, and light to create striking images of your adventure from start to finish, including both candid and posed shots.

I offer this service as a simple add-on to your tour for $50/person. I happily haul my professional camera gear wherever we go, whether that’s deep inside a dark ice cave or 4,000 feet up a rugged mountain ridge. High-resolution image files are delivered via online download after your tour and come with a print release. The number of images you receive will depend on several factors such as the size of your group and your relationships to each other, the length of your tour, weather conditions, and more. Customers always receive a set of unique images with diverse backdrops, rather than dozens of alternates with slightly different poses.

*Note: Please allow 3-4 weeks for final delivery of photos. I strive to provide photos sooner (or at least provide previews of the best images from your tour) but professional photos take time to download, edit, and upload, and I spend a lot of time away from my home office transporting customers long distances and guiding customers in the wilderness, so immediate turnaround is generally not possible.
